Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
- Surface Mount Technology is a method for constructing electrical circuits where the components are mounted directly to the surface of printed circuit boards. Electronic devices made this way are called Surface Mount Devices. This method has largely replaced the more traditional "through-hole" technology.
